To complement the training we have worked to create a set of Training Resources to support you by bringing together all the materials you will need to carry out effective, focused and high-quality training within your own organisation.

Resource Pack - Everything you need to deliver your moving and handling session effectively:

• Workbook - to give to each trainee, with background information, exercises and diagrams
• Teaching Plan - split into modules so that you can use it in one session or over a number of shorter sessions
• PowerPoint Presentation - to use for some of your theory. If you want to print off individual slides, they can be used as acetates for an OHP
• Signing-in Sheet - with all the information as outlined in professional guidelines
• Training Record - for all trainees to complete and sign
• Reflective Learning Form - for trainees to fill in to help them look at how they are going to use their knowledge at work
• Evaluation Form - for your trainees to complete, for you to reflect on your performance
• Sample Certificate
• CD - containing the Workbook (Adobe PDF format) and the PowerPoint presentation

The Illustrated Guide To Safer Manual Handling - Available either as a standalone publication or as part of the Resource Pack. The guide contains 40 pages of clear photographs illustrating a variety of moving and handling techniques that may be appropriate (depending on an individual risk assessment). The Illustrated Guide To Safer Manual Handling enhances your existing training by giving staff a reminder of techniques they have been taught.
